The U.S.-sponsored Mideast peace talks in Maryland later this year may have hit a snag.

The chief Palestinian peace negotiator today says there will be no talks with Israel without a deadline for establishing a Palestinian state.

It's the first indication that Palestinians could scuttle negotiations altogether if that demand is not met.
