Authorities say no criminal charges will be filed against a University of Florida student who was Tasered after disrupting an appearance by Senator John Kerry in an incident captured on video.

His defense attorney says 21-year-old Andrew Meyer wrote apologies to the Gainesville school, its president and the campus police department.

During the fracas, Meyer yelled "Don't Tase me bro!" as he was zapped with a stun gun and arrested after his persistent questioning of Kerry at an on-campus event.

Meyer kicked up an international spectacle last month after demanding a chance to question the former Democratic presidential candidate.

Officers rushed Meyer after he kept shouting questions, finally shocking him in a scuffle captured in at least 19 video clips.
