The widow of a northern Michigan man will stand trial in his shooting death.
The Petoskey News-Review reports that Carol Kopenkoskey was bound over on a murder charge after a preliminary hearing Wednesday in 90th District Court.
Lyle Kopenkoskey's body was found in early October near his pickup truck in Emmet County's Resort Township, northeast of Traverse City. He had been reported missing by his family after failing to show up for work and not returning to his Petoskey home.
Carol Kopenkoskey was charged Jan. 2. She remained free on bond after Wednesday's hearing. A trial date has not been set.
Defense attorney Mary Beth Kur said she was disappointed that her client was bound over for trial, but the ruling "was not unexpected."
