Zombie thief pleads guilty to robbery

COLOMA A man who wore a zombie mask to hold up a gas station in September has pleaded guilty to armed robbery.

23-year-old Martin Hinrichs, who goes by the nickname "Nightmare," told a Berrien County judge that he and some friends had been doing drugs and needed money. According to The Herald Palladium, that’s why they decided to rob the Wesco International gas station in Coloma. Hinrichs wore a zombie mask and carried a pellet gun.

He faces up to life in prison for the crime. Sentencing is set for April 14th.
