Authorities say a 72-year-old woman whose body was found in her burned farmhouse house near Holly in northwestern Oakland Country may have died before the blaze started.
The Detroit Free Press says the woman may have knocked over a lamp or smoking materials, starting the fire. It was reported about 11:40 p.m. Saturday at the house in Holly Township.
Fire Chief Jeremy Lintz says authorities believe the woman may have died from a medical condition before the fire ignited.
Her name hasn't yet been released.
