A 16-year-old ice skater from Williamston is looking to make a name for herself in the international community.
Hannah Miller is one of six elite figure skaters from around the world who were scheduled to compete this week in Sochi, Russia - the site of the 2014 Winter Olympics - in the women's Junior Grand Prix finals.
The straight-A Williamston High School student already has won silver medals while representing the U.S. in Grand Prix events in Austria and Croatia earlier this fall.
Hannah tells the Lansing State Journal she's looking forward to competing at the 12,000-seat Iceberg Skating Palace and taking another "step up."
Hannah will be 17 for the games in Sochi, and 21 for the 2018 games in South Korea.
