VAN BUREN, Mich.--- A 38-year-old man will spend up to 22 years in prison for a stabbing during a fight at a Van Buren County motel.

William Stephens was found guilty of manslaughter in April and was sentenced Monday.

His minimum sentence is 11 years in the October’s slaying of 20-year-old Trey Yarbrough.

Yarbrough was stabbed at the Lakeside Inn in Paw Paw, about 55 miles southwest of Grand Rapids.

Stephens was arrested in Battle Creek after an eight-hour manhunt.
