The United Negro College Fund is seeking dancers to participate in its Wobble Flash Mob event leading up to one of the organization's annual fundraisers.

The Wobble Flash Mob is scheduled for Saturday afternoon at the Belle Isle band shell in Detroit.

UNCF spokeswoman Angela Bingham says the Wobble is a type of dance resembling the Hustle. The UNCF hopes to have at least 1,000 people participate.

Registrations also will be taken Saturday for participants and volunteers for the 24th Annual 5K Walk for Education on Aug. 25 at Belle Isle.

The United Negro College Fund's Walk for Education supports about 60,000 students each year at about 900 schools.
