Upper Peninsula authorities say a man was killed when a car fell on him as he worked under it.
Dickinson County Undersheriff Scott Rutter says the accident happened Wednesday in Vulcan. The unincorporated village is in Norway Township, about 10 miles east-southeast of Iron Mountain.
Rutter says the 52-year-old man was working under the car when it fell off a jack. The undersheriff says fire and ambulance personnel removed the man and took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The undersheriff says authorities are awaiting notification of relatives before releasing the man's name.
