Two people were arrested on Friday, May 31, in the parking lot of the Cass County Sheriff’s Office after heroin and alcohol was found in their car.
Police were initially called after a report of a person with arrest warrants was found at the Cass County Animal Control Office.
That person started to drive away but was later stopped in the Sheriff’s Office parking lot with a warrant from Cass County.
Heroin and open containers of alcohol were found inside, and the person was driving with a suspended license.
The passenger also had arrest warrants and was later found to be an absconder from parole.
Both were taken into custody, however their names are being withheld while charges are still pending.
