ST. CLAIR SHORES Lakeshore schools are down to just one option for a new superintendent. One of two finalists has withdrawn his name from consideration.

WSJM reports that Ron Drzewicki, who is the current superintendent at White Pigeon, chose not to go through with the portion of the interview where Lakeshore officials visit his hometown. He says he's done it a few times before and then not gotten the job, and those visits damaged his relationship with the community.

That means Philip Freeman from Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is the only man left in the running. A group of board members, teachers and community members will visit him sometime next week.
