PONTIAC, Mich. Authorities are seeking a 33-year-old Pontiac man in connection with the beating of his six-year-old stepson who received a poor report from a teacher.
The Oakland County sheriff's department says prosecutors authorized a child abuse warrant for Earnest Milton.
A baby sitter called police Thursday afternoon after witnessing the boy getting beaten with a belt. Milton left before deputies arrived.
Deputies say the boy suffered welts and bruising. He was treated at a hospital and released.
The boy's mother was not at home.
Ten children between the ages of one and 12 were found in the home. The six-year-old boy's twin brother also showed signs of abuse.
Sheriff's officials say two of the children are Milton's. Three belong to his wife.
All of the children were removed from the home.
