A 23-year-old Flint-area man jailed after an armed standoff with police now is charged with murdering his 3-month-old son.
Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton says he's filed first-degree murder and child abuse charges against Jeramy Wagner of Montrose Township.
Leyton says police got a call Oct. 15 and found Wagner's girlfriend giving their baby cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
The prosecutor says Andrew J. Wagner was dead on arrival at Hurley Medical Center, and an autopsy determined he died of a blow to the head.
On Saturday, police got a report of a barricaded gunman at the home and arrested Wagner after a three-hour standoff.
Wagner was ordered jailed without bond at his arraignment Wednesday. A lawyer was being appointed for him, and he returns to court for a pretrial hearing Nov. 2.
