The housing market in southwest Michigan is bouncing back.
WSJM reports that home sales increased 5 percent last month, compared to February 2012. The total number of home sales is just about equal to the number in 2007, just before the housing bubble burst.
The average price also went up 7 percent, from $83,000 in 2012 to $97,000 this year. But that price is still well-below sale prices experienced before the recession, when adjusted for inflation.
