Grand Rapids police say a shootout in the middle of the street in the West Michigan community left a 26-year-old man with wounds in the arm and leg. He's expected to survive.
Police say four to six people were involved in a confrontation about noon Monday.
Mlive.com reports that the wounded man was driven to a hospital in a private vehicle.
Police Capt. Dan Savage says investigators are looking for a white sedan seen leaving the scene after the shooting.
Police say they learned a possible suspect might be staying at a nearby house, and officers surrounded the building.
Officers ordered people out at gunpoint but didn't find the suspect.
