A semi-truck accident backed up traffic for miles on I-94 in Berrien County on Friday morning.
Shortly before 7 a.m., a semi heading east rolled over at mile marker 16. The driver was injured, though his condition was not released.
Troopers say the semi apparently left the road and fell onto a portion being repaved, causing him to lose control. They’re urging drivers to use extra caution around construction areas.
“It’s been like this for quite a while,” said trooper Ann Poehlman. “There's not a lot of wiggle room, so when it says 65 and 45, there's a reason for that.”
One lane of traffic was opened while crews moved the truck and processed the scene.
