CENTREVILLE, Mich. (AP) - Ballots in a southwestern Michigan county have the wrong race for state appeals court.
St. Joseph County officials tell the Sturgis Journal that the District 3 appeals court race shouldn't be on the ballot. St. Joseph County now is in District 1. An extra ballot is being printed in time for the election Tuesday.
Voters who already cast an absentee ballot with the wrong court race can go to their township or city office Monday and see the new ballot. Or they can show up Tuesday and vote that single race.
Despite the mistake, there should no practical impact on the judicial candidates in districts 1 or 3. All are running unopposed.
