The Oakland County sheriff's department says deputies arrested a 17-year-old boy in a vehicle speeding away from the scene of a fatal shooting with his 16-year-old girlfriend.
Undersheriff Mike McCabe says the killing happened about 2 a.m. Sunday. It says deputies had stopped the speeding vehicle when a woman approached them and said her fiancée was shot and the suspect was in the vehicle.
McCabe says a Saginaw girl who's the suspect's girlfriend was trying to hide a .32-caliber semiautomatic handgun by sitting on it.
The gun is believed to have been used to kill 31-year-old Brian M. Jones of Pontiac.
McCabe says deputies also seized three long guns, all stolen from the girl's home. There was no immediate word on the charges in the case.
