Investigators say a confrontation during a burglary attempt led to the shooting death last month of a 68-year-old southeastern Indiana woman.

Nancy Hershman was found dead Dec. 30 in her home in Milan, about 70 miles southeast of Indianapolis.

Prosecutors say 22-year-old Allison Moore and two teenage boys are being held in Hamilton County, Ohio, pending extradition to Indiana. All are from Colerain Township, near Cincinnati.

A probable cause affidavit says Moore faces charges of murder, burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary.

Ripley County Prosecutor Rick Hertel said Monday that he wants the juveniles tried as adults.

Hertel says he believes Hershman was shot while reaching for the gun during a burglary attempt.

It wasn't immediately clear if the suspects had attorneys.
