Prominent businessman killed in bike crash

CHIKAMING TOWNSHIP The former owner of the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City died this week after being hit by a car in Berrien County.

The Herald Palladium reports that 44-year-old Kevin Flynn was riding on Three Oaks Road near his vacation home Monday, in Chikaming Township. A 67-year-old woman, who hasn't been identified, ran into him. Authorities are still investigating the crash.

Flynn is a prominent Chicago businessman, with stakes in the Chicago Sun Times.

He gained some local notoriety for his role in delaying the opening of the New Buffalo Casino and another casino in Battle Creek.
