(Cassopolis, MI) – Restoration efforts continue as about 1300 Midwest Energy Cooperative members remain without power at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
Strong storms blew into the cooperative’s southwest Michigan service area late Wednesday, downing power lines and trees and breaking or damaging many poles. Two substations remain without transmission service. The northwest portion of the service territory was most heavily impacted, affecting members in Paw Paw, Bloomingdale, Gobles, Covert, Hartford, Bangor and Coloma.
