Police are investigating after a video posted online showed a young child being slammed into a school bus window by a woman in southern Michigan.
MLive.com and the Battle Creek Enquirer report the mother of boy, who is 6 or 7 years old, told police that her son had been assaulted while riding the bus home from school Wednesday in the Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools district, about 50 miles southeast of Grand Rapids.
A 5-second video, apparently shot by someone on the bus, shows a boy being lifted from a seat and slammed into a window.
Superintendent Tim Vagts says the woman apparently involved worked for a company hired to handle transportation for the district and has been fired.
Parents held a daylong protest Thursday outside the district's bus garage.
