AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. State police say they have safely recovered a missing 2-year-old boy from the Ann Arbor area.

They had issued an Amber Alert, saying someone took Jarren Jackson from a broken-down vehicle in Washtenaw County's Augusta Township early Saturday.

A follow-up alert sent in the early afternoon read: "recovered."

State police said they considered Jarren to have been in "extreme danger."

A male suspect was described as being 5-foot-10. He was driving an older red pickup truck with rust.
