Police arrest teen for damaging headstones in cemetery

The thousands of dollars of damage at a Riverside cemetery has been connected to a 19-year-old Dowagiac resident.

Enos Butrick III, is faced with five charges including "conspiracy to commit malicious destruction of tombs and memorials", as well as "malicious destruction of personal property".

Police uncovered over 60 headstones that were damaged sometime Sunday night into early Monday morning at Riverside Cemetery. The damage is estimated at $16,000.

Butrick is being held on $20,000 bond. He's expected back in court for a hearing next Wednesday.
