CALVIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say it is likely that a body found in a burned Cass County mobile home belongs to the 78-year-old owner.
Sheriff's officials still were awaiting positive identification following an autopsy Friday, but say the female home owner has not been seen since the blaze early Thursday morning in Calvin Township.
The autopsy did show the victim died due to the fire and foul play in the death is not suspected. DNA test results are pending.
Police also say there is no evidence that the fire was intentionally set. Calvin Township is about 70 miles south of Grand Rapids.
