Pickups crash, killing 4 in Huron County

BAD AXE, Mich. Four people are dead, including three members of the same family, after two pickup trucks crashed in Michigan's Thumb region.

Authorities say the incident occurred around 7 p.m. Saturday in Huron County's Oliver Township.

The victims are identified as 40-year-old Joshua Heck, 38-year-old Jessica Heck, 13-year-old Taylor Heck and 13-year-old Brendon Smith. The sheriff's office says the Hecks are from the Pigeon area, while Brendon is from Caseville.

There were seven people in the crash, including six in one vehicle. The injured were taken to hospitals.
