Pickup driver loses control, slams into home

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. A Grand Rapids couple tells police that they awoke to the sound of a loud crash and discovered a pickup truck in their dining room.

The Grand Rapids Press and WOOD-TV report that authorities are investigating the crash which occurred about 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police tell The Grand Rapids Press that the pickup's driver and another person where arguing before he got behind the wheel of the truck. The driver said he lost control after speeding off and drove sideways into the house.

He suffered minor injuries and was arrested.

The impact of the crash knocked out walls and launched potted plants from the dining into the kitchen. The homeowners were not injured.
