Officials have announced plans to revive the state fair in Michigan.
The Detroit Free Press reports Wednesday the event will have a new name, a new location and no state funding.
The Great Lakes State Fair will be held Aug. 31 to Sept. 3 at Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
The Michigan State Fair closed in 2009 because of a lack of funding.
Suburban Collection Showplace owner Blair Bowman calls the Labor Day weekend event "the perfect opportunity to highlight the amazing products grown and manufactured right here in our great state."
The Detroit News says the event will include indoor livestock exhibits, entertainment, education stations, product displays, outdoor rides, a beer garden and entertainment stages.
Organizers are lining up sponsors for the event.
