A Niles soldier is recovering after being injured in an attack Sunday in Afghanistan.
Family members say Sgt. David Jackson, shown on the left in the photo/video above, was hurt when the vehicle he was in was hit by an IED.
Nine other soldiers, all from the 1st 126th cavalry, were also injured.
Jackson suffered a concussion and a dislocated soldier.
He is currently in physical therapy, which should last about two weeks. The family says he is doing well but has expressed his concern for his brothers in arms.
After he recovers he'll be returned to his unit to resume his duties.
