Some Michiana residents decided to burn calories before consuming them today. The Niles-Buchanan YMCA hosted it's 31st annual Thanksgiving Day Run on Thursday.
Runners could participate in a 10K, 5K or a 1 mile Fun Run.
More than 2400 runners participated in Thursday's event. Race fees go toward raising scholarship money for area youth. Last year this event helped raise around $25,000 in scholarship money.
