A Detroit mother charged with discharging a weapon and felonious assault during a standoff with police at her home is expected back in court.
The Wayne County prosecutor's office says a preliminary examination for Maryanne Godboldo will be held Thursday morning in 36th District Court.
Godboldo also is charged with obstructing an officer in the 12-hour standoff in March.
She says officers failed to produce a warrant when they came to her home to remove her physically handicapped 13-year-old daughter.
After Godboldo was arrested, her daughter was placed in a psychiatric hospital and later released to relatives.
Godboldo says she was battling with Michigan's Department of Human Services over her right to determine whether the girl should continue taking an anti-psychotic drug.
