A woman has collapsed outside a Detroit church after the funeral for her 1-year-old daughter who was found dead inside a closet at her grandmother's house. Authorities haven't said what killed the toddler.
The service for Zyia Turner took place Monday at Christ Resurrection Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit.
WXYZ-TV says 24-year-old Erica James collapsed as pallbearers rolled a pink casket carrying her daughter's body out of the church.
Authorities say Zyia was found dead June 30 by a police cadaver dog underneath clothes and other items. Zyia's father Emmanuel Turner has said his brother was watching several children and reported her missing.
The Wayne County Medical Examiner's office has performed an autopsy but results haven't been released.
