Mercy hospital in Benton Harbor won't be torn down anytime soon.
Our reporting partners at WSJM radio say that's because the state of Michigan has turned down a deal that would have used federal grant money to demolish it.
The Berrien County treasurer says the state thought the grant money would run out before the work was done.
He says the county disagreed.
