LANSING, Mich. A spokeswoman for Gov. Rick Snyder says Michigan's chief executive is planning a trip to Israel in June.
Sara Wurfel said Wednesday that the governor's staff is "not in a position to share details yet" but will do so once the particulars are worked out.
The Republican official has led Michigan trade missions to Asia and Europe since taking office in 2011. This is first trip to Israel as governor.
In 2008, then-Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm visited Israel and signed an agreement establishing a joint work group focused on energy efficiency and technology to improve water quality.
Business ties between Michigan and Israel include military, auto, medical and agricultural technology industries.
