Michiana gets a glimpse into the past

The Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public Library is hosting the 2014 Michiana Genealogy Fair.

Families wondering about their history get a chance to find out where they come from. Exhibitors will be on hand, displaying the latest in genealogy advances and how to trace your heritage.

Doors open at 9 a.m. admission is $5, payable at the door.

Genealogy expert Dr. Michael Lacopo will present two workshop during the day: "Deconstructing Your Family Tree (Re-evaluating the Evidence)" is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. It will focus on how to rebuild your methodology and research when your information "doesn't add up."

Genealogy societies and genealogy material exhibitors will be available all day for browsing and for assistance with your family history.
