Authorities say a 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder on accusations he fired three shots t an undercover police officer at a gas station in an area requented by drug dealers.
The Wayne County sheriff's department says Andrew Knott of Detroit was arraigned Sunday in Detroit District Court. The
department says Magistrate Sherman Barthwell set Knott's bond at $1 million. He's in the county jail, and it's unknown if he has a lawyer.
The sheriff's department says the deputy working undercover was unhurt in Thursday's shooting at a Marathon station on Detroit's northwest side. It says the shots were fired from a car.
The department says its deputies arrested Knox the next day, with help from video surveillance photos from the station that were given to news media.
