Authorities in southwestern Michigan are seeking additional charges against a 26-year-old Bangor Township man wanted in the theft of three cows.

The Van Buren County sheriff's office says in a release that neighbors helped deputies capture, house and feed chickens, guinea hens, kittens, cats and a horse at Kenneth Ventresca's home.

The animals were left without food or water. Ventresca last was seen moving things out several days ago.

The property's landlord has told authorities that Ventresca dropped off keys to the home earlier this week, saying he was leaving Michigan.

A felony warrant naming Ventresca has been obtained charging him with larceny by conversion in connection with the cow thefts.

Authorities say two cows he didn't own were traded for a four-wheeler, while the third was sold at auction.
