Man sentenced for setting parents' home on fire

COLOMA TOWNSHIP A man who set his parents' home on fire, burning them and himself, could spend the next several decades in prison.

21-year-old Denzil Bell pleaded guilty to first degree arson in a May 24th fire that damaged a home in Coloma Township. Bell got into a fight with his parents, then splashed gasoline around a bedroom and lit it on fire.

Bell's father suffered first- and second-degree burns. Bell and his mother were also injured. A grandmother who was home at the time was not hurt.

According to The Herald Palladium, Bell was sentenced to 10 to 40 years in prison.
