MI doctor fighting misconduct ruling

A Saint Joseph, Michigan doctor is fighting his suspension after he was found guilty of misconduct last fall.

That's according to our reporting partners at the Herald Palladium.

Doctor Charles Alderice will ask a judge to dissolve his temporary suspension during a hearing next week

The judge could also decide to make the suspension permanent.

Alderice has owned a family practice in Saint Joseph for over 20 years.

Last October, he was convicted on a misdemeanor for prescribing an inhaler to a patient, but charging it to the patient's ex-wife.

He was ordered to pay $486 in fees, and stripped of his license.

His wife, who's also his office manager, is asking patients to encourage her husband with letters of support.
