DETROIT A judge will order the last punishment in a mob attack on a Detroit-area motorist who stopped to help a boy struck by his pickup truck.

Latrez Cummings is returning to court Thursday, a week after Judge James Callahan postponed the sentence so he could learn more about the 19-year-old's school attendance.

Cummings and four others pleaded guilty to assaulting Steve Utash, who was in a coma for days after the April 2 attack. The longest sentence has been about 6 ½ years in prison. One man got a year in jail.

A teenager whose case was handled in Juvenile Court is in custody until at least September.
