Stevensville, Mich. The Lakeshore School District in Stevensville is searching for a new superintendent, for the second time in four months.
In April, Cindy Vujea abruptly resigned as superintendent.
According to our reporting partners at the Herald Palladium, the district posted her job and received 32 applications including one from Muskegon Superintendent Jon Felske.
Lakeshore extended him an offer however Felske turned it down, citing a moral need to stay at his post in Muskegon.
The school board will now discuss how to proceed at its meeting next Monday.
The new school year starts September 3.
