An unusual beach volleyball court is going up in Muskegon near Lake Michigan. It is 20 feet above ground on top of 16 huge cargo containers.

The Muskegon Chronicle (http://bit.ly/QnYZgQ) says the court is the work of a Grand Rapids man and a Grand Rapids high school, Wellspring Preparatory. The goal is to surprise a Wellspring student who loves volleyball and is recovering from cancer.

Sophomore Meghan Haan's bone cancer is in remission. Despite her rigorous treatments, Haan's grades have been outstanding.

The volleyball court will be open to the public for one day, Tuesday, at Pere Marquette beach in Muskegon. The whole project comes down starting Wednesday.

Rob Bliss and his company, Status Creative, have a big role. Bliss is known for unusual community-building events in Grand Rapids.
