INKSTER, Mich. A man accused of fatally shooting a Detroit-area toddler in the head in front of her father is returning to court for an important hearing in the case.

An Inkster judge must decide whether there's enough evidence to send Raymone Jackson to trial on first-degree murder, torture and other charges. A co-defendant, Raphael Hearn, is charged with first-degree murder and is also due in court Wednesday.

Police say 2-year-old KaMiya Gross was killed outside her Inkster home in a retaliatory shooting. Her 26-year-old father and a 13-year-old girl were shot but survived.

KaMiya was buried last Saturday on what would have been her third birthday.
