A kayaker on Paw Paw Lake was taken to the hospital over the weekend after being run over by a boat and severely injured, according to the Herald Palladium.
The driver of the boat, a 17-year old boy, did not see the 33-year old kayaker who was waving his arms.
He was looking to the back of his boat because of an apparent battery problem.
The kayaker had extensive damage to his leg and it is not clear if the leg could be saved.
He was taken to a local hospital for immediate surgery.
Authorities have said that alcohol did not contribute to the accident.
