A juvenile has been arrested in connection with a suspicious barn fire near Flint that killed 10 horses.

MLive.com reports Friday that police in Burton are seeking animal cruelty and arson charges in the case.

The suspect was taken into custody Thursday.

The fire started Wednesday morning at the Midnite Sun Training Center, about 50 miles northwest of Detroit.

Burton Deputy Fire Chief Ken Gould has said there have been at least three other fires at the center within the last month and two inside the same building.

Authorities have said the building's electrical power had been cut, and the owner said no heaters were in use.
