DETROIT Two of the five people who pleaded guilty in an attack on a Detroit-area motorist are returning to court for their sentence.
Bruce Wimbush and Wonzey Saffold pleaded guilty to assault in exchange for having an attempted murder charge dropped. They're scheduled to appear again Monday in Wayne County court.
Steve Utash, a tree trimmer from Macomb County, was severely beaten after he got out of his pickup to check a 10-year-old boy who had darted in front of his vehicle in Detroit.
Utash spent several days in a coma after the April 2 attack. Two more defendants will be sentenced Thursday.
