A joint funeral is planned for a woman and her pregnant sister who authorities say were fatally shot in Michigan by an Iraq war veteran.

Police say 38-year-old Thomas Fritz on July 13 shot 33-year-old ex-girlfriend Amy Merrill, her 24-year-old sister Lisa Gritzmaker and their mother. The sisters died and the mother survived.

A funeral service is Saturday at Blissfield Baptist Church.

Gritzmaker was about eight months' pregnant, and obituary information said the child's name would have been Abbigail Michelle.

Authorities say Fritz killed himself Tuesday in West Virginia. The sisters grew up in the Blissfield area. Before moving in with Merrill, Fritz was living in Sylvania, Ohio.
