An invasive plant is taking over a scenic ravine in the city of St. Joseph.

ST. JOSEPH An invasive plant is taking over a scenic ravine in the city of St. Joseph.

Japanese Knotweed covers the area between Kiwanis Park and Cleveland Avenue, and it has been found in the Benton Harbor area as well.

WSJM reports that it will $178,000 to get rid of the invasive species. Federal grants are available to help.
