Western Michigan authorities say two boats collided on an inland lake, killing a 55-year-old Illinois woman.
The Allegan County sheriff's office says the crash happened Sunday afternoon on Lake Allegan. The site is in Valley Township, about 30 miles south-southwest of Grand Rapids.
Lt. Frank Baker says a pontoon boat with two people aboard collided with a runabout that had three passengers and three other people being towed on an inflatable raft.
Baker says the crash killed pontoon boat passenger Mary Srebro. She lived in Manhattan, Ill., about 30 miles south-southwest of Chicago.
The lieutenant says the pontoon's driver sustained non-life threatening injuries, while passengers on the runabout had minor injuries.
Baker says the crash remains under investigation.
