SOUTH BEND, Ind.---- Just when we thought we had seen the end, snow pushed its way into the Michiana area causing quite a headache for drivers this morning.
Police saw several crashes and slide-offs between mile markers 14 and 49 on the toll road.
Michigan state police advised drivers to slow down because of ice covered bridges and over passes.
In Elkhart County, police responded to a number of crashes along the US 20 bypass.
Luckily, only minor injuries were reported.
“The roads were slick due to the snow fall and the glaze that came over the road way even though we have had nice weather,” said Sgt. Jeff Stutsman of the Elkhart County Sheriffs Dept. “Anytime we get nice weather and any time we get snowfall people need to take precautions.”
It was a different story in St. Joseph County where no issues were reported.
